The Wrighton laboratory is eager to be a participant in the CSU-wide commitment to advancing microbiome sciences. Dr. Wrighton was hired as part of a university cluster hire, and together with colleagues from the colleges of Engineering, Natural Resources, Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Agriculture, we represent core members of the CSU Microbiome Network. We aim to advance the field of microbial sciences and technology development in strategic core areas pertaining to soil, water, and animal health. In addition to research, the CSU Microbiome Network is strongly committed to advancing educational goals with curriculum targeting undergraduates and graduates, as well as outreach to the local and regional community. We also maintain a regular seminar series which facilitates discussion on cutting-edge microbiome research from leaders in the field.
